Ethno New Zealand 2024 will be the 6th edition of Ethno held in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Dates: 19th – 28th of January 2024
It is open to all musicians aged between 18 – 30.
This year, Ethno New Zealand will be held on Piritahi Marae on Waiheke Island.
It will be a week of young musicians teaching each other their traditional music, sharing cultural experiences and taking part in workshops.
A Marae (Māori Community Living) provides the perfect foundations for a pacific Ethno experience.
This is a unique experience that will give you a deeper understanding of our indigenous peoples of New Zealand and our many other cultures that reside here in Aotearoa (the land of the long white cloud) all while creating musical magic.
The week will culminate in a number of performances, one of them at the iconic Auckland Folk Festival.
