Ethno USA 2021 is here!

Asheville, North Carolina, April 28, 2021 – From October 9-20, thirty musicians ages 21-30 from the US and around the world are coming together in Asheville, NC to kick off a 11-day unforgettable music experience – Ethno USA.

For the past 30 years, since its origins in Falun, Sweden, Ethno has engaged young musicians ages 16-30 through a series of international music camps and activities. Ethno’s democratic peer-to-peer learning approach facilitates and promotes intercultural dialogue in the spirit of generosity, respect and openness.

At Ethno USA, the musicians will meet and learn each other’s music through peer-to-peer workshops, supported by four experienced artistic mentors. All music will be taught and learned by ear, making the process democratic and inclusive for everyone. Ethno USA will offer school workshops and perform a community concert, besides performances at the LEAF Festival mainstage.

Ethno USA will offer ten full scholarships to deserving musicians from within the US who are representative of the country’s vast cultural diversity. International musicians will also be supported through Ethno’s Mobility program.

Ethno USA is planned to be recorded as an album, produced by LA-based Barry Goldberg (Eagles, Tupac Shakur, Fleetwood Mac), and an Ethno USA On The Road tour from Asheville to Minneapolis is planned from October 20-26, 2021.
