About Ethno France 2022

“Ethno France 2022” is a musical, intercultural and international meeting that will bring together young musicians so that they can exchange the traditional music of their cultural background and share it with various kinds of audiences.

With peer-to-peer exchange, each musician teaches their piece to the others, by oral transmission. The result is an ephemeral and multicultural orchestra, which plays pieces all over adapted with the influences of each.

2022’s edition, from Tuesday March the 1st to Sunday March the 13th (travel days included) will bring together 20 participants from all around the world, aged 18 to 30 years.

They will gather for 12 days for various activities :

• Rehearsals to build the common repertoire, on the principle of Ethno workshops: music peer to peer learning, by ear;
• Activities with local communities, in small groups (meetings with schools and children, workshops with local musicians, concerts in small groups/ensembles, etc.), about 6 activities for each small group.
• Concerts with the whole group (3 concerts and 1 concert dedicated to kids). The final concert will be livestreamed.
• And of course jam sessions, after parties, one day free in Paris, etc.

• Fill in the on-line questionnaire “Ethno France 2022 participant application form”
• Download/print/fill in/sign “Commitment file” AND “Agreement with Covid-19 protocols during Ethno France”. Then scan it and send to ethnofrancecps@gmail.com
