Ethno USA 2021 – Inaugural edition!

The first-ever Ethno USA is to be launched in October 2021 in Asheville, North Carolina.

Held together with the amazing LEAF Festival (, Ethno USA participants will experience the wonderful of the Blue Ridge Mountains and a diversity of musical traditions both from within the USA and from around the world!

Participants will lodge & rehearse at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly, a serene mountain retreat across the valley from Lake Eden.  The week will be filled with sharing, learning, lots of rehearsing, visits by special guests and and some Ethno USA’s school outreach in the area.  Two mainstage performances frame the weekend, after which participants head into the Echo Mountain studio to record a full length album with LA-based producer Barry Goldberg (Tupac Shakur, Smashing Pumpkins, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac).

Following the Ethno USA music camp,  participants will embark on the first Ethno USA On The Road tour!  This tour, from October 20th-26th, is designed to let the country know what Ethno USA is all about, with stops at several renowned universities (Berea College, Old Town School) and a special concert in Minneapolis for our donor, Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies.
