Ethno Sweden 1998

I Attended this Ethno

Ethno Sweden 1998 marked a milestone year for the camp, held in Falun as part of the Falun Folkmusic Festival and within the global Ethno network by Jeunesses Musicales International.

The 1998 edition introduced Ethnotes, a small daily magazine created to strengthen inclusion and community among participants, featuring interviews, photos, and reflections from the camp.

Continuing its peer-to-peer learning model, around 100 young musicians aged 17–25 from 15–20 countries taught each other traditional folk songs by ear, with roughly half of the participants coming from outside Scandinavia.
