Ethno Summer – Estonia 1999

Ethno Summer Estonia 1999 was the third edition of the youth folk music camp in Viljandi, organized by the Estonian Traditional Music Center. Still operating under the name Noorte Moosekantide Pillimängupäevad, it continued the Ethno peer-to-peer learning model, with participants teaching each other traditional tunes by ear.

The edition marked a growing international presence within the camp and concluded with a showcase at the Viljandi Folk Music Festival, presenting the collaborative music created during the residency.
