Ethno New Zealand will open musicians to a global network of passionate, open-minded people who want to celebrate and share music and culture.
This edition of Ethno New Zealand will be held on a Marae (Maori meeting place). It will be a week of young musicians teaching each other their traditional music, sharing cultural experiences and taking part in workshops.
This is a unique experience that will give you a deeper understanding of our Indigenous Peoples of New Zealand and our many other cultures that reside here in Aotearoa (land of the long white cloud), all while creating musical magic.
Please note: Ethno New Zealand is held on a Marae, this is a Indigenous cultural space that means we sleep together under one roof and need to adhere to certain cultural norms (eg: no alcohol or smoking on site). We do however do our best to make sure we accommodate any cultural or other requirements in this space.
PARTICIPATION FEE: NZ$ 500 (excl. meals during Auckland Folk Festival) / 20% discount if you sign up as a band
