Ethno Finland, organized by Finnish Folk Music Association, is a smaller camp that offers a unique opportunity to truly connect with each and every participant. The camp takes place in the small village of Kaustinen, renowned for its rich heritage in traditional folk music. The traditional fiddle playing style from Kaustinen has earned a spot on UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Each year, during the second week of July, Kaustinen comes alive with people gathering from all corners of Finland and the world to celebrate the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival. Ethno Finland precedes this festival, taking place in the week leading up to the main event. The camp’s main performances will be featured on some of the biggest stages at the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival.
Ethno Finland camp (tenth edition) takes place from June 30th to July 9th, while the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival extends from July 7th to 13th. We invite you to join us for the entire week of the Kaustinen festival after the camp and participate in the additional Ethno events throughout the festival week.
