Ethno Cyprus 2005 marked the inaugural edition of the international youth music camp in Cyprus, expanding the global Ethno network by Jeunesses Musicales International into the Eastern Mediterranean.
Bringing together young musicians from Europe and the Arab world, the camp created a space for intercultural dialogue through shared musical traditions. With a strong focus on peace and reconciliation, participants explored common roots that transcend ethnic and national boundaries.
Following the Ethno peer-to-peer learning model, musicians taught one another traditional tunes by ear, fostering collaboration, understanding, and connection through folk and traditional music.
