Ethno Palestine first took place in 2017, and the second edition happened in July 2022 in Beit Sahour, right next to Bethlehem in the West Bank.
We are a young Ethno, but full of energy! We are very VERY happy to be able to welcome international participants into Palestine and offer a unique insight into our amazing heritage and culture.
Due to the ongoing situation in our lands, we are waiting for better times before planning our next edition. Please, keep talking about Palestine!
The first ever Ethno Palestine took place in Nablus in 2017, with participants from the UK, Estonia, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, France, Sweden, Cyprus and, of course, Palestine. Our final concert was at the atmospheric Khan al Wekala in Nablus’s old town.
It was a really memorable 10 days, with lots of exciting musical encounters, informal trips and outreach concerts in local schools and Balata refugee camp.
Ethno Palestine 2022 happened in July in Beit Sahour, right next to Bethlehem in the West Bank. We had an amazing time together, with lots of people participating for their first ever time in an Ethno. We visited our friend Aref, a skilled oud and qanoun maker, Ibdaa cultural centre in Dheisheh refugee camp and we also attended a small festival in Aida refugee camp.
It was a small Ethno, with 12 participants, but lots of heart. A massive thank you to Maimu Jõgeda and Aram Zanoun for their expert artistic mentoring.
