Ethno India is a dynamic and unique cultural experience that brings musicians from around the world together to celebrate folk and traditional music. The program fosters a deep exchange of musical traditions, techniques, and cultural understanding through workshops, jam sessions, and live performances. Organized as part of the global Ethno movement under the umbrella of Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI), Ethno India is a melting pot where music becomes a shared language for collaboration, creation, and cultural discovery.
Ethno India was started by Suchet Malhotra, a renowned percussionist, music producer, and advocate for cultural exchange. Suchet first participated in Ethno Flanders (Belgium) in 2003, which ignited his passion for Ethno’s mission. Since then, he has participated in 30 Ethno programs across the globe in various capacities, including participant, Artistic Leader, and Project Director. His dedication laid the foundation for Ethno India, bringing the global movement to Indian soil.
